5-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2030)
Our Focus
HopeWorks Global is focused on preventing human trafficking before it begins. Our work centers on education, community engagement, and strategic partnerships to reduce vulnerability and strengthen protective systems.
We do not currently provide crisis services or case management. Our focus is on early intervention, awareness, and capacity-building, with potential expansion of services over time as capacity grows.
Where We Are Going
Over the next five years, HopeWorks Global will scale impact through focused growth, stronger systems, and expanded partnerships, without expanding beyond defined scope.
Scale Prevention Training
- Reach 10,000+ individuals over five years (baseline: 1,000+ trained annually)
- Convert one-time trainings into recurring institutional partnerships (schools, organizations, faith communities)
- Standardize curriculum for consistent, repeatable delivery across facilitators and regions
Deepen Community-Level Impact
Expand from 25 to 50+ active communities (baseline: 25)
Shift from awareness events to sustained engagement models
Embed prevention within local systems (schools, churches, community networks)
Build Structured Support Pathways (Within Scope)
- Launch defined mentorship and workforce readiness tracks
- Formalize referral networks with vetted partner organizations
- Implement structured intake, triage, and response protocols
Strengthen and Scale Kenya Operations
Operationalize dual-leadership model (strategy + execution)
Expand outreach and school feeding coordination through local partners
Scale through partner-led delivery, not centralized expansion
Build Scalable Organizational Infrastructure
Implement core systems for tracking, reporting, and intake management
Gradually expand capacity (program support, training delivery, administration)
Strengthen financial sustainability through diversified funding and partnerships
Our Approach
We operate through a hybrid model:
Direct programs (training and education)
Community engagement
Strategic partnerships for implementation and support
This model enables scalable impact while maintaining quality and clear scope boundaries.
What Success Looks Like
By 2030, we aim to achieve:
10,000+ individuals reached
50+ communities engaged
150+ trainings delivered
A strong, multi-region partner network across the U.S. and Kenya
How We Measure Progress
We track:
Individuals trained
Communities reached
Trainings delivered
Partner engagement and retention
Over time, we will expand into outcome tracking (behavior change, awareness gains, and system-level impact).
Strategic Risks & Discipline
Key risks include:
- Overextension beyond defined scope
- Founder capacity constraints
- Inconsistent partner quality
We mitigate this by:
- Maintaining strict scope boundaries
- Scaling through standardization and partnerships
- Building systems before expanding services
Our Commitment
Our current focus is to operate as a high-impact prevention organization, while strategically building toward becoming a more comprehensive, full-service provider as capacity and funding allow.
What Full-Service Means (Future State)
As HopeWorks Global grows, a full-service model will include:
Prevention (training, education, community awareness)
Structured survivor support programs (mentorship, workforce readiness)
Coordinated referral and navigation services
Select direct service delivery in key areas (as capacity allows)
Expansion into full-service programming will be phased, partner-informed, and capacity-driven, not immediate or unstructured.
What We Will Not Expand Into (Without Dedicated Capacity)
To maintain quality, safety, and sustainability, HopeWorks Global will not expand into the following areas without specialized staff, infrastructure, and funding:
Emergency or crisis response services
Residential or housing programs
Clinical or mental health services
Legal representation or immigration services
High-risk intervention or extraction operations
Any future expansion into these areas will require formal partnerships, qualified personnel, and clearly defined operational systems.
We are committed to:
Maintaining clear scope in the current phase
Scaling responsibly
Building strong, vetted partnerships
Developing the infrastructure required for future service expansion
Delivering practical, real-world impact
